What is tin-silver soldering?

Tin-silver solder is a lead-free alloy designed to join joints that must withstand greater mechanical stresses than those made with conventional tin-lead alloys.

It is ideal for the installation of drinking water systems, capillary soldering of copper pipes, as well as for heating and cooling applications.

It meets the quality standards established by ASTM B 32-04 and ICONTEC 2700.

Available compositions

Alloy Presentation / Minimum Order Melting point Typical application
95/5 Ag (Sn/Ag) Wire reel of 1 lb and 1/2 lb, Box of bars / 1 lb 25 units, 1/2 lb 50 units, Box x 25kg 221–245°C Drinking water, heating, and cooling pipes
ℹ️ Being lead-free, this alloy complies with environmental and health regulations for facilities in contact with food and drinking water.

Relevant technical properties
