Solid solder is a tin-lead alloy that does not contain flux. It is used with an external flux (flux paste or liquid flux) depending on the surface type and process.
It is available in a wider variety of compositions than resin solder, including high-lead alloys such as Sn20-Pb80, ideal for sheet metal work and metal coating.
The presentations include solid wires in various gauges, rectangular, round and triangular bars, as well as ingots for wave and immersion welding processes.
Its flexibility in presentations and compositions makes it the preferred choice for high-volume industrial processes, where the flux is applied independently and in a controlled manner.
| Alloy | Presentation / Minimum Order | Melting point | Typical application |

The selection depends on the process (manual, wave, immersion), substrate type, and operating conditions. Rods are preferred for wave processes and crucibles.
Available in bars, wires and ingots for high volume industrial processes.
Presentations adapted to each production process and volume of operation.
The Sn63-Pb37 alloy is also available in ingots for high-volume immersion and wave welding processes. Please inquire about the availability of specific gauges.
Welding is part of the electrical and thermal performance of the complete system.
When the alloy is aligned with the production process, repeatability is improved, thermal control is optimized, and operational variability is reduced.
Solid soldering does not contain internal flux, so it requires external flux (flux paste or liquid flux). This allows for greater control over the type and quantity of flux used, making it preferable in industrial processes such as wave soldering and sheet metal fabrication.
The Sn20-Pb80 alloy is the most widely used in tinplate due to its high lead content, which provides excellent adhesion to metals and good workability. Available in rectangular and round bars.
Sn63-Pb37 ingots are used in crucibles for wave soldering and immersion processes in high-volume electronic production lines.
The bars are available in rectangular, round, and triangular shapes in various standard gauges. Consult our technical team for exact specifications based on your process.
It depends on the process and the surface. Conalsol fluxing ointment (a petroleum jelly-based flux paste with chlorides) is ideal for oxidized surfaces. For electronics, liquid resin fluxes are recommended. Consult with engineering for your specific case.
We support the selection of alloys according to technical requirements and actual application.
